Commissioned in 1806 by Napoleon Bonaparte, shortly after his victory at Austerlitz, it was not finished until 1836. There are four huge relief sculptures at the bases of the four pillars.

The image is not clear due to the original image was dark and less focus. So I had to edit it first with sharpness and darkness by Photo paint {tm} . It was taken on October 5, 2006, afternoon.
